How often do students come to the library?
All students come to the library every week. You will check out books, listen to stories, participate in library stations and different activities. Once a month you will attend a technology class in the lab instead of coming to your regular library time. How many books can I check out? Kindergarten & 1st graders = 1 book 2nd - 5th graders = 2 books (An extra book is allowed while researching) Do you charge fines? We do not charge fines for overdue books, only lost or damaged books. Books are marked lost when over due by 2 weeks. A student is expected to pay for lost or damaged books before continuing to check out more library materials. When are books due? Student check-outs are for 1 week. They are allowed to recheck a book if they need more time to finish it. Students will receive an overdue notice for all materials that are checked out longer than 2 weeks. Can parents check out books too? ABSOLUTELY! Come see us in the library and get signed up as a Library Patron. Parents are allowed to check-out 2 books. When you are finished with them, you may send them back with your child or come to the library and get 2 new books. The check-out time is 2 weeks. |
